Attn: Texas ASBPA Chapter
March 22, 2012
The Communications Committee is preparing another Newsletter for an early April printing and they request the following:
Dear Coastal Community,
The newsletter committee of the Texas Chapter of the ASBPA is seeking article submissions for the spring edition of the “The Strand Line” newsletter. The Strand Line newsletter is a forum where any and all coastal related information, ideas, and interests may be shared with the statewide community. Our goal is to provide a conduit to increase exposure for people, projects, and policy along the Texas Coast in particular, and for all coastal related activities and locations in general.
Articles are generally between 500 and 1,000 words (roughly half a page to a page). All articles may be submitted directly to Cris Weber at cweber@ljaengineering.com or Jayne McClure at jdmcclure@gba-inc.com. Please insure permission to publish articles and photographs or imagery before submission. We would like to receive all articles by April 7th for the spring edition, which will be released before the next Chapter Meeting on May 4 in Port Aransas. We look forward to hearing from everyone. Write often and submit freely.
Thanks,
The Newsletter Committee
The Communications Committee has done an outstanding job with the “The Strand Line” Newsletters that have been published since the inception of our Texas Chapter so help us keep up the effort and please send in your articles to Cris or Jayne.
Many thanks again for your help and support and don’t forget, our next meeting in Part Aransas on May 4.
Many thanks,
Jerry Mohn

Minutes January 27 Meeting in South Padre
February 13, 2012
To read the minutes from our January 27 meeting in South Padre, go to the News & Meeting Minutes page. We had a great meeting with 40 in attendance and we thank the City of South Padre Island as our host and the Texas ASBPA Chapter in sponsoring the luncheon.
We are preparing a newsletter for April so let Jayne McClure at jdmcclure@gba-inc.co and Cris Weber at Cris.weber@leapengineering.com know about articles you would like published.
In addition, don’t forget the upcoming 2012 ASBPA Washington DC Summit, February 28 – March 1. See the ASBPA website at http://www.asbpa.org/conferences/sum_12.htm for details. Please let me know if you will be attending the Summit so we can coordinate meetings with the legislatures. Texas always has a large contingent at the Summit and the Texas ASBPA Chapter is sponsoring again with the notebooks. Hope to see you in Washington.
The next Texas ASBPA Chapter meeting will be May 4, Friday, in Port Aransas with a luncheon. So make plans to come to the meeting and stay the weekend in this beautiful resort city along the Texas coast. Please mark your calendars.
Please let me know of any issues or concerns you would like the Texas ASBPA Chapter to address or any items of interest to the membership.
Hope to see you in Washington and in Port Aransas.
Many thanks,
